Our Team

Rob Haggart

CEO/Founder

Prior to founding PhotoFolio with Kent, Rob was an award winning Director of Photography for Men's Journal and Outside Magazine. Recognized for excellence in photo editing over many years by PDN, SPD, Graphis, American Photography, ASME and Communication Arts. He has given talks over the years to various photographers groups including APA and ASMP chapters, annually at the Photo-Plus Expo, National Geographic, and Photo LA.

Rob works remotely from Durango, Colorado where he spends his free time skiing and mountain biking with his wife and two children.

Kent Akins

CTO/Founder

Kent leads the development and design of PhotoFolio and wrote the code for Manhattan, our revolutionary first design that ushered in a new era of high end photographer websites with user controls normally only found on expensive custom sites. He went on to build Design X from the ground up and received US Patents for the innovative software he created.

With a background in aerospace engineering and photography, Kent thrives on a mix of artistic and technical challenges. He enjoys hanging with family. His hobbies include woodworking, home renovation, snowboarding and a good game of chess.

Jeff Cato

Developer

Jeff is a full-stack developer who is is skilled at software architecture patterns and paradigms. He keeps us on the cutting edge of technology and has helped Kent every step along the way with the creation of our revolutionary Design X.

In his spare time Jeff plays the guitar and travels with his family. He loves pretty much anything creative: drawing, painting, writing, designing, making, programming.

Heidi Volpe

Website Designer

Heidi Volpe is an award winning Designer and Photo Director with over 20 years experience. She is currently the Photography Director for Patagonia. In the past she worked for Vogue India, Los Angeles Times Sunday Magazine, Outside Magazine, Muscle & Fitness and The Red Bulletin Magazine.

In her free time Heidi enjoys punishing single speed mountain bike rides and has won many long distance events.

Jon Foley

Technical Support & Website Design

With nearly a decade of experience in technical support at PhotoFolio Jon can answer any questions you have. He also loves to design websites for customers.

In his spare time he loves to cook, travel, camp, golf, hunt and snorkel. Previous to working at PhotoFolio he was a senior accounts manager for a major automotive website provider and worked on SEO for the business and its customers.

Adam Akins

Technical Support & Website Design

With a background in technical support, Adam is the most recent addition to our support team. He is great with customer care and under Jon's mentoring is becoming proficient at handling all of your support needs.

Adam is pursuing a degree in economics. He enjoys everything sports. He lives in Bend, OR. with his wife Kaitlyn and two dogs, Charlie and Brady.
